Pakistan's pace spearhead
A T20 World Cup four-for against New Zealand, a Test debut against England, a Unicorns signing for the first MLC season and an ODI five-for in Adelaide.
The San Francisco Unicorns announced Rauf, then 29, and Shadab Khan as the last two places on their first Major League Cricket squad, noting he had bowled the fastest ball of the 2023 PSL.
His second ODI five-wicket haul bowled Australia out for 163 and Pakistan won the second ODI by nine wickets. He was player of the match and went on to be player of the series with 10 wickets in a 2-1 win.

03Chapter 3 · 2025–2026
Unicorns in America
He took 17 wickets for the Unicorns in MLC 2025, then returned in 2026 as the Unicorns topped the regular-season table before missing the final.
Rauf and Xavier Bartlett were the pick of the bowlers as Los Angeles made 184/7, and Rauf then helped Hammad Azam close the chase to 12 runs before the Unicorns were all out for 173.
Rauf's best figures we have confirmed are 3 for 25 against LA Knight Riders on 10 July; his full-season totals are still to be checked. The Unicorns finished in the top two of the regular-season table, lost the Qualifier to LA Knight Riders by 7 runs (15 July, Oakland) and the Challenger to Washington Freedom by 7 runs (16 July, Oakland), so missed the final.
