A South Belgrave junior who became an Australian ODI player in 2012 and hit the fastest ODI century by an Australian, 102 off 53 balls, at the 2015 World Cup.
Born in Kew but raised in South Belgrave in the Dandenong hills, he played all his junior seasons there, first as a fast bowler and later as an off-spinner. The year is approximate; the page gives no season.
With cramps, he hit 201 not out off 128 balls (21 fours, 10 sixes) from 91/7, sharing an unbroken 202 with Pat Cummins for a three-wicket win that sent Australia to the semi-finals.
Retired from ODIs, captained Washington in 2025 and hit an MLC century. In 2026 he played six games. Washington Freedom finished third in the 2026 group stage (6 wins, 4 losses, 12 points), beat MI New York by 6 wickets in the Eliminator on 15 July (chasing 267, they reached 270/4 in 18.4 overs) and lost the final to LA Knight Riders by 1 run on 18 July at the Oakland Coliseum.
On scorecards I opened he played six of 13 games: 0, 7, 0, 12*, 7*, 13 with the bat (SR 139), and 3 wickets in 12 overs (best 2/37). He is not on the final's scorecard. My own totals.
